Cabbage Soup Diet - Day 2

I'm officially over this cabbage soup diet shit.

Day 2 is all the veggies and soup you can eat.  Baked potato (with butter!) for dinner.

I barely could swallow any of the soup today.  It's not that it tastes bad, it's actually quite OK, I just could not swallow another spoonful of it.  I feel as though I may have cheated today though.  Although we are allowed to add hot sauce to things, I felt as though my Korean style cucumbers in hot sauce and garlic may not have been allowed.  Whoops. Not. I picked up my baked potato at Wendy's.  No, I didn't order the fully loaded baked potato! :)

Anyways, onto my my food/physical activity entry.

Physical activity
  1. 2 hours walking around the neighborhood playing Ingress and Pokemon Go.  I'm losing interest in Pokemon rather quickly and am becoming more active in Ingress.

Food Log
  1. A few bites of blanched spinich
  2. A few bites of blanched bean sprouts
  3. A few bites of lettuce
  4. 1/2 bowl of cabbage soup
  5. A baked potato for dinner
The Cabbage Soup Diet didn't really seem that difficult on paper, but shiet... the same repetitive flavors over and over is just not my cup of tea.  Fortunately, I have not strayed yet!  I'm determined to at least finish off the next few days.  5 days...  Tomorrow will be fruit and veggie and soup day.  I hope that the combination of fruit and veggies will satisfy me.  I will say this though, I do not feel hungry or deprived of anything at this point, even though there are minimal carbs on other days of the plan.  For the whole 7 days, there is only ONE day of baked potato.  The rest of the time, no carbs.  I was never much of a heavy eater anyways.  I eat more than a bird, but significantly less than a cow.  I eat like a cat?

On another note, once I'm done with this Cabbage shit diet, I'll begin cooking meals through Blue Apron. Each week, they send you a box of ingredients already measured out to cook throughout the week.  Each box comes with 3 dinners with servings for 2 people.  That's 6 full meals for $60 dollars. $10 a head for dinner!  I'm hoping this helps me eat healthier by staying at home instead of running out to eat.  An ideal dinner out for me consists of some restaurant, usually not fast food, and a drank. Baby steps to saving money here!

Thank God it's Friday tomorrow....

  1. Lmk how you like Blue Apron :) I'm on my 3rd week! So far I have no complaints about the food but since D hates all things green, he struggles sometime with the side dishes. I'll post some pics of my dinners sometime!
